There’s no doubt about it, Kiwis love their cars! We were picked up by Huihana and Steve in
Colin the Dodge to reach Kumeu showground around 8am. An initially cloudy day turned into a
scorcher.
These guys on their motorised
picnic bench with chilly bin and parasol had the right idea:
The event was a massive swap meet for car lovers
and there were thousands of American classic cars to ogle and for their
obsessed owners to compare notes over.
We walked miles, had a BBQ and tons of snacks by the car and
even bought a new cool pair of hot rod converse trainers for me!
