As every New Year’s Day should be, we had a relaxed morning
with a large breakfast recovery session.
We met with Nick’s daughter and family for a lovely walk on the
beach as it was another beautiful sunny day.
We even had a go on the bumper boats which was fun and helped us to cool
off a little.

Nick took us on an extended tour of the area to see Rabbit
island amongst other places on our way to Motueka for dinner at ‘The Smokehouse’,
one of the Edwards’ favourite restaurants. Stuffed from dinner, we returned to
their house for more darts and made arrangements to meet Libby, one of our besties from the UK, the next day.
