Thursday 2nd March – Guest preparation

Good news! We were in the right place when we stopped last night and there appears to be no damage to the RV.

Stunning scenery heading from Joshua Tree towards LA
We awoke quite early and bounced down the sand road to find some tarmac and head towards Los Angeles.  We didn’t make it far before we spotted a Walmart.  I treated myself to a hair-do whilst Simon did the shopping.  We had to get some treats in and some extra bedding to house the guests we’ve got coming, so needless to say it was a pricey one! We then carried on, keeping our eyes peeled for a truck wash as we hoped to spruce up Harvey’s exterior.

But in the end we didn’t see one on our route and got to Glen Ivy RV Park by 245pm.  It was a stunning park and the Satnav reckons we are an hour away from Becky’s hotel for the pick-up tomorrow morning.  Can’t wait to surprise her with the whale-watching trip and the fancy RV park that I’ve booked for the three of us for the next two nights on the beach.

It was time to complete the preparations. Simon got to work making a lasagne for tomorrow night’s dinner and I set to cleaning the RV inside and out.  Not a very eventful evening but it’s the calm before the next two weeks of chaos…. Bring it on!
