Monday 19th December – last day at the Springs

An Anhinga - it has to spread its wings to dry itself after swimming as it lacks oil on its feathers

One last chance to make the most of the lovely springs.  After a relaxing morning we walked the swamp trail and used all of our available equipment – one of us in the kayak whilst the other used the snorkel gear for a last swim and appreciation of the spring!

Vultures coming home to roost
The day was topped off by a mighty thunder storm so we spent the evening in doors watching a film though I can’t remember what one!
I am ashamed to say that despite staying at Alexander Springs for a whole week I omitted to take a single photo of our campsite.  We are struggling to picture one plot from another now as we are staying in so many places, I plan to rectify this situation and take more snaps.
