Having planned to head south into Atlanta our plans swiftly
changed when we awoke to heavy rain and the forecast set to remain that way for
the entire duration of the day. What to
do? We booked in for an extra night to have
a correspondence and planning day! We
contacted lots of people over Facetime and Skype, wrote Christmas cards and
planned our RV accommodation for the rest of the month. We only ventured outside to turn the water
tap on and off again! To prevent feeling
too inactive on a day like this the floor of the living area also sometimes
steps in as a makeshift gym for me (not often enough I hasten to add, but it’s
something!). There’s just about enough
room to do some floor-work, planking, dips and squats… but that’s about it.
Simon did a cracking job and basically planned and booked us
up for the rest of the month until 29th December – a great
logistical success! We knew we had to do
something having discovered that sites in Florida get booked up 11 months in
advance. The idea of quitting our jobs,
selling the house and being in Florida hadn’t even been a faint glimmer of thought in our minds 11 months ago! I
don’t need to tell you where we’re booked into as I don’t want to spoil the
surprise…. However, we did look at booking an RV site on the Florida Keys…. In
the end we booked a rare hotel stay in Miami for two nights for 20th
-21st because it was CHEAPER (and included breakfast!) so that tells
you how pricey the Florida Keys is!
